Wolfpack Dominate Net and Service Line in Sweep of Winnebago
The TCNE Wolfpack wasted no time asserting themselves last Thursday night, August 28th, rolling past the Winnebago Indians in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16, 25-12. From the opening whistle, TCNE’s attack and serving pressure overwhelmed the Indians, setting the tone for a wire-to-wire sweep.
Leading the charge was outside hitter Kiya Tornez, who turned in a complete performance with 10 kills and a team-high 16 digs, controlling both ends of the floor. Alongside her, Joslyn Mackling delivered a steady all-around effort — 9 kills, 9 digs, and 11 serve-receive passes — keeping the Wolfpack balanced in transition and lethal in system.
The heartbeat of the offense came from setter Ally Belt, who ran the floor with precision. Belt piled up 27 assists and put extra pressure on Winnebago from the service line, rifling 6 aces that often came in momentum-swinging bursts.
Middle hitter Briley Andrson provided a strong presence at the net with 6 kills, while Aubrey Mitchell chipped in with 5 aces, underscoring the Wolfpack’s serving dominance.
By the third set, TCNE had complete control, stringing together long service runs and finishing rallies with crisp ball movement. The Wolfpack’s ability to convert defensive stops into immediate offense left Winnebago with no room to recover.
With the sweep, TCNE showcased depth, composure, and a clear edge in execution — a performance that signals they’re rounding into early-season form with confidence and firepower.
