Wolfpack Advance to Lewis & Clark Championship After Strong Quarterfinal and Semifinal Wins

The TCNE Wolfpack continued their postseason momentum in the Lewis & Clark Conference Volleyball Tournament, punching their ticket to the championship match after hard-fought victories over Creighton and Wausa.

In the quarterfinal round, the Wolfpack faced the Creighton Lady Bulldogs in an intense three-set battle. After dropping the opening set 23-25, TCNE regrouped and powered through the next two, taking the match 25-18 and 25-19. Outside hitters Joslyn Mackling and Kiya Tornez led the offensive charge with 17 kills each. The Pack kept pressure on the Bulldogs from the service line, tallying five aces, including two from Mackling. Setter Ally Belt distributed the offense with 31 assists, while Emily Mitchell anchored the back row with 23 serve receives. Mackling was also strong defensively, digging up 26 attacks to help secure the win.

With that victory, TCNE advanced to the semifinals to take on the Wausa Lady Vikings—and the Wolfpack showed no signs of slowing down. TCNE dominated from start to finish, sweeping Wausa in three straight sets, 25-11, 25-18, and 25-17. Mackling again led the Pack with 10 kills, followed closely by Tornez with 9. From the service line, the duo was unstoppable, combining for all eight of the team’s aces—four apiece. Belt continued to set the tone for the offense, dishing out 21 assists, while the serve receive trio of Mackling (14), Tornez (13), and Mitchell (12) kept the defense solid and consistent.

With two strong tournament wins under their belt, the Wolfpack now advance to the Lewis & Clark Conference Championship, where they will face the Wynot Lady Blue Devils on Tuesday, October 21st. The Pack looks to carry their energy, teamwork, and balanced attack into the title match as they vie for the conference crown.
