Wolfpack Earn Runner-Up Honors in Lewis & Clark Conference Championship Battle
 

The Lewis & Clark Conference Volleyball Championship at Randolph High School on Tuesday, October 21st, proved to be an intense five-set showdown between the TCNE Wolfpack and the Wynot Lady Blue Devils. After a hard-fought battle, Wynot came away with the 3-2 victory, claiming the championship title.

The Lady Blue Devils took the first set 25-23, but the Wolfpack answered back with a 25-23 win of their own in the second. Wynot edged out TCNE in the third set 25-20, before the Wolfpack rallied once again to take the fourth 25-21. In the decisive fifth set, Wynot’s momentum carried them to a 15-9 finish to secure the match.

Senior outside hitter Kiya Tornez led the Wolfpack offense with an impressive 22 kills, keeping TCNE in the fight throughout the evening. The Pack also showcased strength from the service line, recording 8 aces—three each from Joslyn Mackling and Ally Belt.

Defensively, Briley Anderson stood tall at the net with 2 blocks, while Mackling anchored the back row with 21 digs and an outstanding 42 serve receptions. At the setter position, Belt directed the offense with 38 assists, demonstrating sharp decision-making and consistent ball placement.

Despite falling just short of the conference crown, the TCNE Wolfpack proudly claimed the runner-up plaque for the 2025–2026 Lewis & Clark Conference season. The team now turns its focus to subdistrict play, where they will enter as the top seed.

Subdistrict action begins Monday, October 27th, at Emerson-Hubbard High School, where the Wolfpack will host Hartington-Newcastle, Lyons-Decatur Northeast, Cedar Catholic, and Bancroft-Rosalie. With their strong finish at conference and continued determination, the Pack looks poised for a deep postseason run.
