Beginning on Tuesday August 18th, Allen Consolidated Schools will move to Stage Two on the Guidelines for Opening and Operations of School Protocol.
We have made some modifications to the language and the procedures in Stage Two. Please review those changes on the updated plan found below this document.
Differences from Stage One to Stage Two:
-When students and staff are not able to social distance of 6 feet or more, they will be required to wear a mask/ face covering.
-When working in small groups or with partners students will be required to wear a mask/ face covering.
-While moving in hallways, students will be required to wear a mask/ face covering.
-When coming into the building in the morning and leaving in the afternoon, mask/ face coverings will be required.
-In most of the elementary classrooms social distancing can take place for part of the day.
-In some of the secondary classrooms social distancing can take place, but not all.
-If a student does not have a face covering one will be provided for them.
-Suitable masks/ face coverings should restrict you from blowing out a candle that is 2-3 feet away.
Reasons for the move from Stage One to Stage Two:
-Confirmed cases within the district.
-After evaluating the procedures and practices in Stage One administration determined that the students and staff were not able to social distance during all times of the school day.
-New information released from Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department. (See diagram - >> click HERE << )
