Wolfpack’s Tournament Run Ends with Loss to Walthill in Conference 5th Place Game
The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack saw its conference tournament hopes come to an end Saturday, falling 87–77 to the Walthill BluJays in the fifth-place round of the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament.
TCNE came out strong in the opening quarter, taking a slim 22–20 lead. Walthill responded in the second period, outscoring the Wolfpack 23–14 to take a 43–36 advantage into halftime. The BluJays continued to apply pressure in the second half, holding off several TCNE rallies to secure the 10-point victory.
Despite the loss, the Wolfpack put together a competitive performance and stayed within striking distance throughout the contest. TCNE matched Walthill with 22 points in the fourth quarter but was unable to close the gap in the final minutes.
Senior Thatcher Lamp led the Wolfpack with 26 points, shooting 9-of-20 from the field and 2-of-5 from three-point range. He also added five rebounds and an assist in a strong all-around effort.
Junior Landyn Servine contributed 21 points and was active on the glass with nine rebounds, while Logan Morgan added nine points and five rebounds.
Jude Ridenour chipped in nine points and three assists, and sophomore Knox Lamp provided a spark off the bench with four points and eight rebounds. Devin Reinert and Tucker Anderson also contributed valuable minutes in the tournament matchup.
As a team, Tri County Northeast shot 42 percent from the field and connected on seven three-pointers. The Wolfpack collected 37 total rebounds and recorded 14 assists, showing strong effort and ball movement against a tough Walthill squad.
