Lady Wolfpack Battle Defensively in Home Loss to Bancroft-Rosalie

The Tri County Northeast Lady Wolfpack came up short on the scoreboard Monday night, falling 40-27 to the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers in non-conference girls’ basketball action at Emerson-Hubbard High School.

TCNE leaned on defense and rebounding to stay within striking distance but struggled to generate consistent offense. The Lady Wolfpack finished the night shooting 9-of-31 from the field (29%), went 0-for-10 from three-point range, and connected on 9-of-23 free throws (39%).

Junior Briley Anderson led all Wolfpack scorers with 13 points and was dominant on the glass, pulling down 16 rebounds to anchor the interior. Freshman DeLaney Fuchser added seven points and 10 rebounds, while junior Joslyn Mackling chipped in five points and contributed across the stat sheet. Senior Sam Rastede finished with two points and six rebounds.

Despite the offensive challenges, TCNE showed defensive effort throughout the game, totaling nine steals and two blocked shots. The Lady Wolfpack also controlled the boards, finishing with 38 total rebounds, keeping second-chance opportunities alive.

TCNE recorded five assists on the night and will look to cut down on turnovers as the season progresses.

The Lady Wolfpack will aim to build on their defensive intensity and rebounding strength as they prepare for a busy week ahead.
