Tri County Northeast continued to search for a breakthrough Thursday night as the Wolfpack dropped a narrow 42–41 decision to the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats in a hard-fought contest.
The loss marked the fifth straight for the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack, who came up just one point shy of snapping the skid. The setback also echoed the teams’ previous meeting in January of 2025, when Hartington-Newcastle claimed a 53–36 win.
With the defeat, Tri County Northeast fell to 3–9 on the season. Hartington-Newcastle, meanwhile, earned a much-needed victory, breaking a four-game losing streak and improving to 4–9.
The Wolfpack gears up for a busy week ahead, taking on Homer, Wausa, and Wakefield.
