Wolfpack Compete at L-C-C Invitational

On one of the more perfect days in recent years for a track meet, the Wolfpack competed in a very loaded 11-team field at the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Invitational on Tuesday, April 21st .
The Wolfpack boys had a great show despite only having 2 seniors and 2 juniors on the squad and competing with only 12 total athletes in a highly loaded athletic grouping of teams. The team only scored 28 points, but they were all earned and well deserved. Jude Ridenour had a very good day collecting 3 medals, as he ran a personal best in the 800, and tied his 3,200 times, as well as running a leg on the 4X800 relay. Devin Reinert also collected three medals in the 200 and 4X100 and 4X400 relays.
The girls’ team improved their 4X100 time of 52.18 finishing second. Joslyn Mackling collected three medals in the high jump, 300 hurdles and 4X100 relay. Kiya Tornez also collected three medals in the 100, 200 and 4X100 relay.
Next action for the Wolfpack is scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd at the Ponca Invitational. Meet time is 1:00 p.m.

COACHES COMMENTS: “This meet was an extremely competitive meet. The some of the athletes handled the level of competition and intensity well and others did not. The team also experienced some negative performances that need to be corrected. The next goal on the horizon is our conference meet on May 2nd . The teams will work to improve as much as possible for that event. Several athletes are emerging to help the overall success of the teams, and if that keeps coming, good things will happen.
