Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn April 18, 2024, Kaelyn Ankeny from Allen Consolidated Schools competed in the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences State Science Fair at the University of Nebraska’s East Campus in Lincoln. Kaelyn is a 7th grade student at Allen Consolidated Schools. The Tittle of Kaelyn’s project is “How Different Salts affect the Growth of Slime Mold”. Kaelyn finished with a Blue Ribbon and won a large pizza from Casey’s General Store. There were 36 projects from across the state in the Junior Division at the Nebraska State Science Fair. Kaelyn did very well as a 7th grade student conducting science research for the 1st time as she finished with a blue ribbon. The projects were split into three divisions with the top 5 projects receiving Purple Ribbons, the next few projects finished with Blue Ribbons and the remaining projects finished with Red Ribbons.
