Ben Jorgensen earns his 4th trip to the Class C State Golf Championship
The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack went to District Play on Monday, May 19th. The
C-3 District Tournament was held at Fairplay in Norfolk, Ne. With windy, wet, and cold conditions, the Wolfpack competed in quite possibly the toughest district in Class C.
Senior Ben Jorgensen shot a 76, a school record for district play. Two other golfers tied for 2nd place. After a scorecard playoff, Ben Jorgensen received 3rd place, punching his ticket to his 4th Class C State Golf Championship.
Senior Gabe Olesen finished his final tournament in strong fashion, knocking 6 strokes off from his first nine shooting a 94. Landyn Servine shot a 97 and Jaxon Hall finished the day with a 107. As a team, the Wolfpack shot a 379 in tough conditions, finishing in the middle of the pack.
Ben Jorgensen will be competing in the Class C State Golf Championship at Jackrabbit Run in Grand Island. It will be a two-day tournament starting on Wednesday, May 28th and ending on Thursday, May 29th.
