For the second straight week, the Eagles of Allen, struggled to move the football with any consistency, dropping a 41-0 decision at Wynot.
Wynot scored their second offensive play of the game, never looking back, as they built a 15-0 lead at the end of the first period and 3 late second period scores to expand the lead to 34-0 at half.
Reserves played almost the entire second half of the game.
Offensively, freshman, Brayden McCorkindale led the ball carries with 77 yards on 9 attempts.
Defensively, Joe Grone and Gabe Reinert led the tacklers with 10 and 9 respectively.
The loss drops the Eagles to 1-5 on the season.
Next action is at Walthill on Friday, October 8th at 3:00 p.m.
COACHES COMMENTS:
“Things have not gone well the past two weeks. As cliché’ as it sounds, we still have our season goal in front of us, but we need to have some urgency, focus and intensity. It has been a frustrating two weeks for everyone, but we are the only people who can change that. The team and coaches will work to get this corrected for the final two games of the season.”
