EAGLES FACE 4th LOSS TO SIOUXLAND CHRISTIAN

It was a battle of the Eagles as the Allen Eagles hosted the Eagles of Siouxland Christian on Thursday February 13th.  The gym was filled with blue and gold as the community held a spirit night.  The Siouxland Christian fans also donned their best blue and gold adding for an extra festive evening.  The start of the game was a close one with Allen taking the early lead putting up 10 points and Siouxland Christian had 9.  The second period was a turning point for Siouxland Christian as they added 17 more points all the while holding Allen to 6.  After half, the game was neck-in-neck again, Allen adding 16 points and Siouxland Christian having 15.  The end of the game proved to be a battle of the fittest with the score being tied with just a few minutes left.  In the end, Siouxland Christian proved to be victorious with the final score being Allen 46, Siouxland Christian 59.

Points by Period:  1st- Allen 10, SC 9   2nd- Allen 6, SC 17   3rd- Allen 16, SC 15    4th- Allen 14, SC 18

Points leaders for the Allen Eagles on the night were Brogan Jones with 14 and Lukas Oswald with 12.

Coach Blohm's Comments: "It was a hard fought game. We got down a little at half, but were able to get back within 4 points with less than 2 minutes to go. We need to capitalize better on opportunities given to us around the hoop and on the free throw line."
