AHS One Act Update
Launch the media gallery 1 playerIt was a busy week for Allen One Act this last week. Tuesday, November 14th, the One Act kids and coaches traveled to Homer for Conference. There they were ranked 4th with several Outstanding Performance awards. Olivia DeKok, Gabe Olesen, Cell Martell, Devon Lewellen, Brayden McCorkindale, and Bre Millard all received recognition as outstanding performers at Conference One Act. Gabe Olesen was recognized further by receiving the Lewis Division Best Actor Award. Then, on Saturday, November 18th, the One Act team traveled again, this time for the Tekamah-Herman Tiger Festival in Tekamah. Here, the group came out with a Runner-Up plaque along with recognized outstanding performers and tech awards. Devon Lewellen, Olivia DeKok, Gabe Olesen, Bryan Isom, and Brayden McCorkindale all received Outstanding Performer Awards. Alex Ankeny and Atlee Anderson both received Tech Awards. Olivia DeKok was also recognized as best actress overall.
There won’t be any slowing down as the team prepares for their school performance on Tuesday, November 21st, followed by a public performance held the same day at 7:30 that evening. Then, in less than a week, the One Act will also compete at Districts in O’Neill on Monday, November 27th.
