EAGLES END THEIR SEASON IN THE FIRST ROUND OF SUB-DISTRICTS

The Allen Eagles faced the Pirates of Emerson-Hubbard in the first round of sub-district play on Tuesday February 19, 2019.  The game was neck in neck the entire time however, Allen could not hang on to the win in the end.  The final score was E/H 38, Allen 35. SMITH SELECTED TO PLAY IN THE SERTOMA 8 MAN ALL STAR FOOTBALL GAME

Senior, Kyle Smith of Allen Consolidated School, was chosen as one of 48 senior eight man football players state wide, to participate in the Sertoma Nebraska 8 man football all star game in June at Hastings College.   24 senior players were chosen from the eastern half of the state, from seniors that were nominated and considered.  Kyle's parents are Kevin and Kathy Smith of Allen, Nebraska.   Date and game . . .

6th GRADERS STUDY ENERGY TRANSFORMATIONS

Last week, 6 th  graders were introduced to their new science unit, Energy Transformations, by having to build a homopolar motor using a battery, copper wire, and neodymium magnets. They worked in pairs to get their motors up and running. It was a great lesson in patience and trial and error!
