Tri County Northeast Girls Get Big Win Over Whiting

Wolfpack Girls Add Another Win, Beating Whiting 75-43

 

The Tri County Wolfpack girls basketball team hosted the Whiting Warriors in Emerson on Saturday January 18, 2021.  The Wolfpack came out screaming outscoring the Warriors 24-9 in the first quarter alone.  This pattern held true during the second quarter with the Wolfpack adding another 24 points before half.  The halftime score was Wolfpack 48, Warriors 19.  The Warriors tried to make a slight come back in the 3rd quarter scoring 19 to the Wolfpack’s 4 but just could not overcome the aggressive lead made early on.  The final score was TCNE- 75, Whiting- 43.

Points by Quarter:  Q1- TCNE 24, Whiting 9   Q2- TCNE- 24, Whiting 10    Q3- TCNE- 13, Whiting 19   Q4- TCNE- 14, Whiting 5

Points leader for the Wolfpack on the night was Jordyn Carr with 20.  Ryanne Mackling and Carly Dickens also had an impressive game with Mackling tallying 17 points and Dickens with 15. 

Brynn Schock led the Wolfpack in rebounds with 11 total, 5 offensive and 6 defensive.  Carr and Mackling led in assists as well as steals on the night. 

The Wolfpack girls look forward to a busy week ahead traveling to Homer on Tuesday January 19th then to Wausa on January 21st before rounding out their week at home in Allen against Wakefield.
