Wolfpack Boys Advanced to Championship Game of Summerland Holiday Tournament
The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack traveled to Summerland High School to compete in the 2020 Holiday Basketball Tournament on December 28th & 30th. The Wolfpack defeated Chambers/Wheeler-Central in their first game, 71-19. In the championship game, the Wolfpack fell to Walthill 91-52.

The Wolfpack came out strong the first part of this game and did not let up holding Chambers/Wheeler-Central to only 19 points the entire game. An early lead helped Coach Blohm to allow his unexperienced varsity players time on the court.

Points leader during this game for the Wolfpack was Mason Hall with 15. Almost every player on the roster was able to score some buckets for the team during this game.
Nate Oswald and Josh Olesen led the Wolfpack in rebounds with 6 each. Oswald tallied 3 offensive and 3 defensive while Olesen had 4 offensive and 2 defensive.
Garrett Blanke led the team in assists with 2 while Mason Hall led in steals with 4.
Coach Blohm’s Comments: “We started out pretty flat on both ends of the floor, but we were able to overcome with our pressure with 21 steals. It was great to be able to get all the players involved with 13 out of 14 kids scoring. Our free throw shooting needs to improve down the stretch. Overall, great team win.

Wolfpack vs. Walthill
The second game of the tournament proved to be a bit of a battle for the Wolfpack as they faced fellow conference team the Walthill Blujays. The game started off fairly close with back and forth action but the Blujays were able to keep their lead going in to the half. Half time score was TCNE- 26, Walthill- 39.

Points leader for the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack was Steven Sullivan with 12 followed by Kobe Kumm with 10.
Reed Hingst and Steven Sullivan each racked up 4 rebounds leading the team. Hingst had all defensive rebounds while Sullivan had 2 offensive and 2 defensive.
Reed Hingst led the Wolfpack in assists with 3 while Steven Sullivan led in steals with 2.
Coach Blohm's Comments: "Walthill came out ready to play. Our defense was a step behind on a lot of possessions. They shot extremely well, shooting 16/30 behind the arc. This is a game that we have to learn from and improve."
