Wolfpack Girls Go 1-1 At Home Before Moratorium

Wolfpack Girls Basketball Win 1, Lose 1 Heading Into Moratorium

The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack finally held a home game against the Winside Wildcats on Thursday December 17th at Emerson-Hubbard.  The Wolfpack came out strong outscoring  Winside 24-6 in the first quarter alone.  By halftime the Wolfpack led the game 40-14.  The strong lead helped Coach Colfack to utilize his bench during the game, especially after halftime.  During the 3rd quarter, the Winside Wildcats outscored the Wolfpack 12-11.  The 4th quarter was also close with the Wolfpack outscoring the Wildcats 12-10.  The final score was Wolfpack- 63, Wildcats- 36.

Points leader for the Wolfpack was Jordyn Carr with 22.  Brynn Shock had impressive night rebounding racking up 14 total rebounds (8 offensive, 6 defensive) on the night. 

Carr also led the team in assists with 3 and steals with 8. 

In the second home game of the week, (held at Allen) the Wolfpack hosted the Ponca Indians.  Roles were much reversed for the Wolfpack compared to their previous game.  Ponca came out strong and led the first half of the game outscoring the Wolfpack 42-15 at half.  Even with Ponca utilizing their bench for the second half, the Wolfpack was unable to gain the lead.  They were outscored by Ponca 15-8 in the 3rd quarter and 12-6 in the 4th.  The final score was Wolfpack- 29, Ponca- 69.

Points leader during this match up for the Wolfpack was Jordyn Carr with 10.  Brynn Schock led with 11 rebounds (4 offensive, 7 defensive).  1 assists was recorded on the night by Schock.  Ryanne Mackling led in steals with 5.
