Wolfpack Girls Basketball Loses a Close One to the Wildcats
The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack girls varsity basketball team traveled to Hartington-Newcastle to face the Lady Wildcats on Tuesday December 15, 2020. The Wolfpack was down by 5 at the end of the 1st but came back in the 2nd, outscoring the Wildcats 15-8. The half-time score was TCNE- 26, H-N- 24. A dead even 3rd quarter with 17 points for each team, led to a battle for the win in the 4th. The final score was TCNE- 52, Wildcats- 55.
Jordyn Carr led the Wolfpack in points racking up 25. Ryanne Mackling was also a key shooter for TCNE recording 14 points on the night. Brynn Shock was the rebound leader for the Wolfpack with 9, 2 offensive and 7 defensive. Alli Jackson was also a key rebounder during the game with 8 total (2 offensive, 6 defensive).
Carr led in steals on the night with 9 and also had the most assists with 4.
The Wolfpack girls team has 2 home games this week. They will host Winside in Emerson on Thursday December 17th and Ponca in Allen on Friday December 18th.
