Tri County Northeast Takes Wakefield 3-1 in Last Regular Season Game
The Tri County Northeast Wolfpack hosted the Wakefield Lady Trojans in their last regular season game at home in Allen. The Wolfpack came out strong but narrowly losing the first set to the Lady Trojans 25-23. The rest of the game was the Wolfpack’s to take winning 3-1. Set scores: Set 1- Wolfpack 23, Trojans 25; Set 2- Wolfpack 25, Trojans 18; Set 3- Wolfpack 25, Trojans 15; Set 4- Wolfpack 25, Trojans 17.
Kill leader on the night for the Wolfpack was Alli Jackson with an impressive 25 kills. Jordyn Carr also proved to be a leading attacker adding 17.
The team served over 97% on the night with Carly Dickens leading in aces with 3. Jazmine Delatorre also added an ace serve for the Wolfpack.
Defensively, Jordyn Carr was an animal racking up 15 digs on the night. This was double than most of her team mates. Carr also led in serve receive passes with 21 followed closely by Jackson with 15.
Setter Carly Dickens added 42 more set assists to her ever rising career count.
Coach Greve’s Comments: “THIS WAS A HARD FOUGHT MATCH BY BOTH TEAMS AND LITERALLY COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY. BOTH TEAMS PUT THEIR HEARTS ONTO THE COURT AND YOU CAN'T ASK FOR MORE THAN THAT.”
