Wolfpack Volleyball Team Falls to Ponca For the Second Time this Season
The Tri County Northeast high school volleyball teams traveled to Ponca to compete in JV and Varsity action on Tuesday Septembe 29th. These matches were originally scheduled as a triangular with Wynot and Ponca but with Covid-19 issues, Wynot was forced to cancel.
The Wolfpack had a slow start on the night and were overcome by the Lady Indians 15-25 in the first set. The Wolfpack pulled it together during the 2nd pulling off a 25-22 win. The 3rd set was a battle back and forth for both teams with out of system plays with Ponca taking the 3rd (20-25). In the last set, the Wolfpack could not overcome Ponca's early led losing the set 15-25. The overall score of the game was Tri County Northeast- 1, Ponca- 3.
Kill leader on the night for the Wolfpack was Jordyn Carr with 18 followed by Alli Jackson with 11. Brianna Bousquet and Rhyanne Mackling each added 3 kills for the Wolfpack while Brynn Shock had 2.
Setter Carly Dickens had 25 assists on the night. She also led in ace serves with 4. Jordyn Carr added 2 ace serves and Alli Jackson had 1.
