Wolfpack Battles with LCC Giving Them A Run For Their Money

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears traveled to Allen to face the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack on Tuesday September 15, 2020.  The Wolfpack knew they had a tough game going into the match but they were able to power through making the Lady Bears earn their 3-1 win.  Set scores:  Set 1- LCC 25, Wolfpack 21; Set 2- LCC 25, Wolfpack 22; Set 3- Wolfpack 25, LCC 22; Set 4- LCC 25, Wolfpack 22.

Attacking was strong for the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack and key kills made by Alli Jackson and Jordyn Carr made the difference in the game.  Jackson led the Wolfpack in kills with 17 followed closely by Carr with 15.  Setter Carly Dickens added 4 kills while Briana Bousquet had 3.  Brynn Shock and Rhyanne Macklinge each added 1 kill on the night.  The team attacked at .254 overall.

Carly Dickens and Brianna Bousquet each had 2 ace serves during the game and the team was 89.1% on the night in serving.  This was not their strongest game serving.

Defense proved to be much stronger this game for the Wolfpack.  Getsemane Ferusca led her team in digs with 16.  Jordyn Carr and Alli Jackson were also a vital defenders on the night.  Carr racked up 12 while Jackson had 11.  Rhyanne Mackling added 4 while Dickens had 4 and Bousquet had 3.  Serve receive was also much improved during this game for the Wolfpack.  Mackling and Carr were serve receive leaders.  Mackling had 25 solid serve receive passes while Carr had 24.

Setter Carly Dickens tallied 34 assits on the night.  Rhyanne Mackling added 2 while Jordyn Carr had 1.

The Wolfpack is in action again at a home triangular in Emerson on Thursday September 24th.  They will compete against BRLD and Winnebago.  Games are set to start at 5 pm.
