LADY TROJANS FALL TO WINNEBAGO LADY INDIANS

J. Carr led in points, assists, steals

The Lady Trojans hosted the Lady Indians of Winnebago on Tuesday February 11th.  Winnebago started off strong out scoring Wakefield-Allen by six points in the first and 4 in the second.  By half, the score was Winnebago 31, W-A 21.  After half, the Lady Indians kept their momentum going with a dominating 3rd period offensively but did allow the Lady Trojans 14 points compared to their 26.  The Lady Trojans amped it up in the 4th but did not have enough time for a solid comeback.  The final score:  Winnebago 73, Wakefield-Allen 58.

Points by Period:  1st- W- 16, W-A 10   2nd- W 15, W-A 11   3rd- W 26, W-A 14   4th- W 16, W-A 23

Points leader for the Lady Trojans was Jordyn Carr with 18.  Aishah Valenzuela also stepped up her game offensively adding 12.  The Lady Trojans shot 20% on the night and were much better for the free throw line scoring 19 for 28 or 68%.

Valenzuela led Wakefield-Allen in rebounds with 7, 3 offensive 4 defensive.  Carr and Anna Lundahl also had a strong night rebounding each adding 5 for the team.

Carr had the most assists on the night.  Alex Arenas and Carr led in steals with 2 each. A block was recorded from 4 Lady Trojans during the game:  Maddie Mogus, Alex Arenas, Aishah Valenzuela, and Anna Lundahl.  

This is the last regular season game for the Lady Trojans as they prepare for sub-district play next week.  The Lady Trojans end their regular season 12-8.
