LADY TROJANS EARN ANOTHER WIN AGAINST THE LADY PIRATES

The Wakefield-Allen Lady Trojans hosted the Lady Pirates of Emerson-Hubbard in conference action on Friday January 24th.  The Lady Trojans came out offensively tough outscoring the Lady Pirates 30-5 in the first period.  Wakefield-Allen was able to hold Emerson-Hubbard to zero points during the second period.  The half time score was W-A 38, E-H 5.  After half, Coach Emswiler was able to utilize his bench allowing for less experienced Lady Trojans to gain some Varsity time.  The final score was W-A 64, E-H 23.

Points by Period:  1st- W-A 30, E-H 5    2nd- W-A 8, E-H 0    3rd- W-A 11, E-H 6    4th- W-A 15, E-H 12

Points leader once again for the Lady Trojans was Jordyn Carr with 17.  Kassidy Brudigam also had an impressive showing on the night tallying up 15 points for W-A.  Overall, the Lady Trojans shot 37% and were 3 for 7 from the line.

Leading rebounder for the Lady Trojans was Alex Arenas with 5.  Carr was also vital on the boards racking up 4 rebounds on the night.  Carly Dickens, Aishah Valenzuela, Ally Twohig, and McKenna Decker each added 3 rebounds for the team.

Rachel Borg, Jordyn Carr, and Kassidy Brudigam led W-A in assits, each with 3.  Carr also led in steals with 10 while Ally Twohig added 6 steals.

The Lady Trojans improve their season to 9-6.  The will travel to Homer on Monday January 27th to face the Lady Knights.
