LADY TROJANS STRUGGLE AGAINST LADY WOLVERINES

Carr led in rebounds, assists, and steals. Also a top scorer.

The Lady Trojans were on the road on the evening of Tuesday January 21st facing the 13-1 Wolverines of Bancroft-Rosalie-Lyons-Decatur.  The game started off on pretty even levels with W-A scoring 15 points against BRLD's 19.  The 2nd period, the Lady Wolverines got into a rhythm and were able to outscore the Lady Trojans 24-15.  By halftime, the Lady Trojans were down by 13 with a score of 43-30.  The second half of the game, the Lady Wolverines were unstoppable offensively.  In the 3rd period alone, BRLD held W-A to only 10 points while they racked up 24 points.  The Lady Trojans rallied but were unable to come back in the 4th period.  The final score was:  W-A 56, BRLD 81.  

Points by Period:  1st-  W-A 15, BRLD 19   2nd- W-A 15, BRLD 24   3rd-  W-A 10, BRLD 24   4th- W-A 16, BRLD 14

The Lady Trojans points leader on the night was Alex Arenas with 17.  Jordyn Carr was also vital offensively scoring 15 on the night.  

Carr led her team in rebounds with a total of 8 (6,2) while freshman McKenna Decker had an impressive showing adding 7 rebounds (3,4) for the Lady Trojans.  

Carr also led W-A with 9 assists and 5 steals.  Ally Twohig and Decker each recorded a block on the night.

The Lady Trojans are currently 8-6 on the season.  They will face Emerson-Hubbard at Wakefield on Friday January 24th.
