LADY TROJANS ARE DEFEATED BY LADY INDIANS

The Lady Trojans traveled to Ponca to face the Lady Indians in conference action on Tuesday January 14th.  After a slow start the first half of the game, Wakefield-Allen was able to come back strong after half but ran out of time in order to defeat and offensively strong Ponca team.  The final score was Wakefield-Allen 46, Ponca 64.

Scores by Period:  1st- W/A 7, Ponca 17     2nd- W/A 11, Ponca 22     3rd- W/A 16, Ponca 11    4th- W/A 12, Ponca 14

Points leader for the Lady Trojans was Jordyn Carr with 17 followed by Alex Arenas with 13.  As a team, the Lady Trojans struggled making buckets with a FG% of 26 on the night but were much better from the free throw line, going 10 for 17.  

Carr led the Lady Trojans in assists with 5 and rebounds with 6 with 1 offensive and 5 defensive.  Ally Twohig and Rachel Borg were vital on the boards each racking up 5 rebounds.  

Alex Arenas tallied 3 steals during the game while Anna Lundahl led in blocks with 2.  

The Lady Trojans are now 8-5 on their season.
