LADY TROJANS COME UP SHORT AGAINST LADY EAGLES

The Wakefield-Allen Lady Trojans traveled to Sioux City on Saturday January 4th to face the Lady Eagles of Siouxland Christian.  The Lady Trojans started off hot outscoring the Lady Eagles 19-10 by the end of the 1st period.  By half the score was W-A 30, SC 24.  After half, W-A continued to lead out scoring the SC 17-15.  The last period was the difference maker for the Lady Eagles to take over the game for the win by 6 points.  The final score was W-A 62, SC 68.

Points by Period:  1st- W-A 19, SC 10   2nd- W-A 11, SC 14   3rd- W-A 17, SC 15   4th W-A 15, SC 29

Points leader for the Lady Trojans was Jordyn Carr with 24.  Alex Arenas added 16.  The Lady Trojans shot 27% on the night and were 6 for 13 from the free throw line.

Leading rebounders for the Lady Trojans were Carly Dickens and Jordyn Carr each with 9 (4 offensive and 5 defensive for each).  Alex Arenas was also a vital rebounder with 8 (4 offensive, 4 defensive).

Jordyn Carr had 2 blocks on the night, 6 assists, and 6 steals.
