LADY TROJANS DEFEAT LADY WILDCATS, 60-44
The Wakefield-Allen Lady Trojans hosted the Lady Wildcats of Hartington-Newcastle on Tuesday December 10th. Although Hartington-Newcastle came out strong the first quarter, leading W-A 17-3, the Lady Trojans gained a rhythm and were able to gain the lead going into half-time 29-25. The Lady Trojans were able to remain solid after half leading to the win. The final score was W-A 60, H-N 44.
Points leader for the Lady Trojans was Alex Arenas with 22 followed by Aishah Valenzuela with 16. The team had a combined field goal percentage of 35%.
At the free throw line, the Lady Trojans shot 67% with Anna Lundahl leading 2 for 2. Alex Arenas and Valenzuela were each 1 for 2 at the line.
