LADY TROJANS GET DOUBLE WINS AT MADISON TRIANGULAR

Team ready to receive a serve.The Wakefield-Allen Lady Trojans traveled to Madison to face the Dragons and the Spalding Academy Shamrocks in varsity action on Tuesday September 10th. The successful Lady Trojans added 2 more wins to their record!
In their match against the Dragons, the Lady Trojans came out on top winning in two sets, W-A 25- M 11 and W-A 25, M 15. Leading hitters during the game were Hayden Ekberg and Rachel Borg each with 4 kills. Alli Jackson and Jordy Carr added 2 kills each while Alex Arenas had 2 and setter Carly Dickens added 1. Wakefield-Allen served at a solid 93.3% on the night with key ace serves coming from Abby Heiman (2), Chely Dominguez (2) and Aishah Valenzuela (2). Jordyn Carr and Carly Dickens each added an ace serve for the Lady Trojans. Rachel Borg put up the only successful block during the game. Leading in digs for the Lady Trojans was Valenzuela with 4. Alex Arenas added 3 more digs while Dominguez and Heiman each had 2 and Dickens added another. Setter Carly Dickens had 16 assists. Leading serve receive passer was Carr with 9 followed by Heiman with 6 and Valenzuela with 5.

The Lady Trojans came out storming in their game against the Spalding Academy Shamrocks. They stomped the Shamrocks 25-6 in the first set. During the second set, the Shamrocks gained some moment but could not catch up to the Lady Trojan lead. W-A pulled off the win with a final set score of 25-16.
Hayden Ekberg led the Lady Trojans in kills during this game with 9. Alli Jackson and Jordyn Carr each added 4 kills while Rachel Borg and Abby Heiman each added 2. Several other Lady Trojans put up a single kill during the game: Carly Dickens, Alex Arenas, Makenna Decker, Roxy Ekberg, and Ally Twohig. Serving percentages as a team were a little lower this second match of the night with a team total of 89.6% in serving. Alli Jackson led in ace serves with 3 while Abby Heiman had 2. Dickens, Valenzuela, Dominguez, and Carr each had an ace serve as well. Abby Heiman put up the only block against the Shamrocks. Valenzuela led her team in digs racking up 9. Heiman had 6 while Carr and Roxy Ekberg added 3 more. Dickens and A. Arenas each had 2 digs and Dominguez and Jackson each added a dig for the team. Setter Carly Dickens led with 24 assists. Heiman led her team in serve receive passes with 7. Valenzuela and Arenas were also helpful in serve receive passes.
