LADY TROJANS FALL TO LADY CARDINALS IN 2ND ROUND OF CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
The Wakefield-Allen Lady Trojans made it to the 2nd round of the Lewis & Clark Conference Basketball Tournament held last Thursday January 31st. Wakefield-Allen battled against Randolph in this match up. A slow start for the Lady Trojans made it difficult for them to make up lost points during the second half of the game. Although they fought back hard, Wakefield-Allen came up short losing to Randolph 35-44.
Points leader for the Lady Trojans was freshman Jordyn Carr with 14. As a team, Wakefield-Allen shot 21% in field goals and was 63% from the free throw line.
Carr and Jessica Borg led their team in rebounds. Seven rebounds were recorded for Carr while Borg added 6. Courtney Bokemper had 5 rebounds on the night. Carr also lead in steals for the Lady Trojans with 5 and Borg put up the only block for Wakefield-Allen during the game.
The Lady Trojans will travel to Winnebago to face the Lady Indians in conference play on Tuesday February 5, 2019.
