LADY TROJANS ADVANCE TO 2ND ROUND OF LEWIS & CLARK BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

The Wakefield-Allen Lady Trojans played the Emerson-Hubbard Lady Pirates in the first round of the Lewis & Clark Basketball Tournament.  The Lady Trojans led early in the first half of the game outscoring the Lady Pirates, 27-17 at half-time.  Emerson-Hubbard battled hard the second half of the game but could not come up with the win.  The final score was W/A- 61, E/H-44.

Points leader for Wakefield-Allen was Jordyn Carr with 15 followed closely by Jessica Borg with 13 and Courtney Bokemper with 11.  Cassidy Brudigam and Aisha Valenzuela were key scores on the night as well.

Jordyn Carr led the Lady Trojans in rebounds with 7, 2 offensive and 5 defensive.  Bokemper and Ally Twohig each added 6 more rebounds for Wakefield-Allen while J. Borg had 5.

Aishah Valenzuela led Wakefield-Allen in assists with 4.  Carr recorded 7 steals on the night.  Blocks were put up by Carr, Rachel Borg, and Maddie Mogus.

The Lady Trojans will face the Randolph Lady Cardinals in the second round of rescheduled conference tournament action on Thursday January 31st.  W/A will play the second game of the night beginning 20 minutes after the first game ends.
