LADY EAGLES BATTLE WITH QUEEN BEES

The Lady Eagles faced the Queen Bees of Bloomfield in an away conference game on Thursday February 8, 2018.  This was the last regular season match-up for both teams before sub-district play.  The Lady Eagles fought hard in the final quarter outscoring the Queen Bees 18 to 17.  Allen came up 9 points short in the end.  The final score was Allen 38, Bloomfield 47.

Points by Quarter:

Q1:  Allen 6, Bloomfield 11

Q2:  Allen 7, Bloomfield 9

Q3:  Allen 7, Bloomfield 10

Q4:  Allen 18, Bloomfield 17

Lady Eagle points leader was Bri Hingst with 20.  Ally Twohig and Haley Stapleton each added 7 points for Allen while Carly Dickens had 4.

Bri Hingst led the Lady Eagles in rebounds with 9 (1 offensive, 8 defensive).  Ally Twohig had 5 total rebounds (3 offensive, 2 defensive).  Bethany Kneifl added 3 rebounds (1 offensive, 2 defensive) and Haley Stapleton had 2 (1 offensive, 1 defensive).

Assist leaders during the game were Bri Hingst and Ally Twohig with 2 each.  Haley Stapleton and Carly Dickens each had 1 assist during the game (Unofficially recorded).

Bri Hingst led Allen in steals with 6.  Haley Stapleton, Carly Dickens, and Ally Twohig each had a steal on the night. 

The Lady Eagles end their regular season with a 4-16 record.  The Lady Eagles will see the Queen Bees on Monday night in the first round of sub-district play.  Game time is 7 pm at Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington.
