EAGLES SMASH COUGARS IN LAST GAME OF 2017

The Allen Eagles hosted the Cougars from Cornerstone Christian in a pre-holiday game on Thursday December 21, 2017.  Allen came out with a strong lead early in the game, outscoring CCS 12 points in the first quarter alone.  The Cougars made a short lived come back in the second quarter but could not keep up with the Eagles in the last half of the game.  The final score was Allen 66, CCS 30.

Points by Quarter:

Q1:  Allen 14, CCS 2

Q2:  Allen 18, CCS 15

Q3:  Allen 16, CCS 9

Q4:  Allen 18, CCS 4

Eagle points leader was Noah Carr with 19.  Brogan Jones added 16 points while Lukas Oswald had 14.  Kobe Kumm added 10 points, Aden Anderson had 3, Brock Floyd and Josh Grone each added 2 points.  

Lukas Oswald was the leading rebounder for Allen with 10 (4 offensive, 6 defensive).  Brogan Jones added 6 rebounds (1 offensive, 5 defensive).  Kobe Kumm, Brock Floyd, Noah Carr, and Josh Grone each had 3 rebounds.  Aden Anderson had 1 defensive rebound. 

Assist leader for the Eagles was Lukas Oswald with 6.  Reed Hingst had 4 assists while Kobe Kumm and Noah Carr had 3.  Brock Floyd, Brogan Jones, Aden Anderson, and Josh Grone each recorded an assist during the game.

Steal leaders for Allen were Josh Grone and Lukas Oswald with 2 each.  Brogan Jones and Kobe Kumm each had a steal a piece.

The Eagles had a long holiday break with limited gym time due to a high school band trip to the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.  The Eagles will face Ponca JV on Friday January 5th and then host the A-Club tournament on Saturday January 6th.
