The Lady Eagles hosted the Lady Cougars of Cornerstone Christian (Bellevue, NE) in a non-conference match-up on Thursday December 21st.  Both teams were winless upon entering this match-up.  Allen came out strong offensively and earned their first win, and a big one at that, of the season.  The final score was Allen 48, CCS 12.  

Points leader for the Lady Eagles was Bri Hingst with 23.  Carly Dickens added 9 points followed by Haley Stapleton with 6.  Katie Bathke and Bethany Kneifl each had 4 points.  Summer Jackson and Alyssia Strivens each made a free throw during the game.  

Leading rebounders for Allen were Katie Bathke and Carly Dickens.  Both girls had 5 total rebounds, each recording 3 offensive and 2 defensive.  Haley Stapleton and Bri Hingst each added 2 rebounds (1 offensive, 1 defensive).  Bethany Kneifl contributed a defensive rebound during the game and Summer Jackson had an offensive rebound.

Bri Hingst was the Lady Eagle steal leader with 8.  Haley Stapleton had 5 steals while Katie Bathke, Carly Dickens, and Summer Jackson had 2 steals a piece.  

The Lady Eagles have had a long break without much gym time due to the high school band trip to the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas  over the holidays.  The Lady Eagles are back in action against  Friday January 5th against the 7-5 Lady Indians of Ponca.
